Co-op Housing Society Loans – Parramatta Co-operative Housing Society is our parent entity, trading as Cumberland Home Loan Group, and has been established in Parramatta since 1937.

Since that time we've assisted thousands of or our clients in achieving their financial objectives.

Over many decades, with assistance from the NSW Government, we have provided low-cost home loans to many families that may have not otherwise achieved home ownership. Most of these loans were provided with NO lenders mortgage insurance (LMI), often permitting finance with just 5% deposit or less. These loans are ideal for those interested in saving $ thousands on LMI premiums; or those not suited to traditional loans due to issues of income, security or certain past credit problems. These loans were provided with private funding with credit support from the NSW Government and were recently known as Perfect Start Home Loans within a program known as the Government Guaranteed Loan Scheme. We are currently lobbying the NSW Government to renew the scheme and expect that they will again resume their commitment to this proven home finance assistance scheme for low to middle income families.
